Privacy policy

AmazingHome Inc ("AmazingHome", "we") makes the AmazingHome app and this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we keep the record of your home so you can use it, we don't sell it, and we don't show you ads.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it. If you sign in with a password, we store only a one-way hash of it, never the password itself. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier from Apple and, if you allow it, your name and email — which may be a private relay address Apple creates for you.
- Your home's record. The address and details of properties you add, the equipment you record (such as make, model, serial number, filter size and dates), service history, and emergency details like where utilities shut off.
- Questions you ask. When you ask about your home, your question and the relevant parts of your record are used to produce an answer. We don't keep a history of those conversations.
- Usage records. We record that an AI feature was used and how much processing it took, so we can operate plan limits. These records don't contain the content of your questions or photos.
- Technical information. Standard server information such as the time of a request and whether it succeeded. We don't write the contents of your requests — your address, your records or your questions — into our logs.
Photos of equipment labels
We read label photos and then discard them.
When you photograph an equipment label, the image is resized on your phone, sent to us to read the details, and discarded once they've been read. It isn't stored and isn't added to your record. Anything we read is shown to you as a suggestion, and nothing is saved until you confirm it.
How we use information
- To provide the app: storing your home's record, reading labels, answering questions and showing maintenance reminders.
- To keep your account secure, including limiting repeated failed sign-in attempts.
- To operate plan limits and understand the cost of running the service.
- To respond when you contact us.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run AmazingHome, and only to the extent they need to do that work:
- Hosting and databases, where your account and home record are stored.
- AI service providers, which process label photos and questions on our behalf to produce a result. Our AI provider's credentials exist only on our servers, never in the app.
- Apple, if you choose Sign in with Apple.
- Email, when you write to us.
Businesses we partner with — such as real estate or property management companies — never receive your address, equipment, records or account details. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Emergency information
Details like where your water, gas and power shut off are available to you on every plan. They're never used to show you offers or recommendations.
Keeping, correcting and deleting your information
We keep your information for as long as your account is open. You can correct your home's record in the app at any time. To delete your account and the records associated with it, email hello@amazinghome.com from the address on your account and we'll confirm when it's done.
Security
Connections to our service are encrypted. Sign-in credentials on your phone are stored in the iOS Keychain, and sessions can be revoked. No system is perfectly secure, but we design around protecting the details of where you live.
Children
AmazingHome isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or third-party trackers.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
